According to a recent announcement, Facebook is beta testing a new video matching technology, which will allow the creators of videos to quickly identify where their videos are being shared and have them reported to Facebook for removal if less than ethical means were used. The announcement from Facebook said, “Our matching tool will evaluate millions of video uploads quickly and accurately, and when matches are surfaced, publishers will be able to report them to us for removal."   The current version is only being tested by a very limited number of media companies and multi-channel network creators. HasOffers was part of a select group of companies that partnered with Facebook. The purpose of this partnership was to bring Facebook new mobile customers and provide analytic data based on those customers.

Unfortunately for them, this partnership is over. Facebook has ended the partnership because HasOffers violated Facebook’s privacy rules on retaining data and consumer consent.

These violations were brought to light during a privacy audit that was put in place to make sure that all partners were following these rules.

HasOffers wasn't alone. A mobile analytics company called Kontagent also had their partnership terminated.


  The Facebook ads API partner SocialClicks recently announced that the company has released the latest feature of its Advanced Technology Suite called Predictive Automated Bid Optimization.   This new feature will allow Facebook marketers to let Facebook campaigns run themselves when they’re away. So it’s finally happened, last week Instagram released its eagerly anticipated web platform for the ever increasingly popular photo editing and sharing service.

Known for their mobile app which allows people to add effects to photos and share them across social media platforms, the service was purchased by Facebook earlier in 2012.

As it stands, web profiles are only available to view photos uploaded by users on their mobile phone with no added capability to upload from your pc or the web.
